I have zero hype for Starfield and Elden Ring. I'm not really From Soft stan anyway so I'll probably pick ER up on sale at some stage. Starfield could be great but Bethesda doesn't have the sort of good will from me any more to not want to see how it reviews first.

Only thing about titles like Sable is I always worry the game itself doesn't have the depth to keep my attention, even if it looks great. Writing looks pretty iffy as well, but I love the concept.

I really hope they use all the power of the next gen consoles to add depth rather than to just make massive worlds and maps with tedious, repetitive and unimaginative, unrewarding tasks with shit dialogue.

I think the SSDs are going to allow certain game play things that weren't possible before which I'm sure a few devs will make something amazing for.

Also I never knew how much I needed 60fps until I had it. The normalising of that alone is a big difference for me.

Just looking at Ratchet and Clank already you have the dimension jumping that has led to the game noe being released on PS4.

I've been playing that and between that, the speed of other parts of the game and that it almost never stops to load it genuinely feels like a next gen game. And it looks absolutely incredible.

While it was cool, I didn’t see what it really added. It’s still the same gameplay just in a different environment.

I guess if it helps makes the experience engaging that’s good enough, but I’d really like to see these guys think outside the box.

Ah cheers will check that out. Now the real question is how do I install the app on the Mrs phone so that she gets the alert 2-3 weeks before my Bday without her noticing.

This worked a treat, after 30 days of pain it's arriving tomorrow - cheers mate. No idea why I'm so excited given that there is virtually no games almost a year after release.

Quite a few late last-gen games run much better on the new consoles, if there are any you'd like to play and haven't done yet. Some have gotten 60 fps, 4k updates etc.

I want to finish RDR2, The Witcher, Outer Worlds and a few others. Must be a few on Gamepass.

I miss the days when new consoles were launched with flagships. Everything aside from Nintendo has been so shit for the last couple of generations in that respect.

I haven't played any of them since the first game, but this seems very promising: great setting, original director returns, etc.

No idea, but I do know that Outer Worlds at least runs in 60 fps on the new consoles. The Witcher is six years old now so nothing there, but they are working on a PS5/Xbox Series X update.

RDR2, nothing. Rockstar will probably do the thing where they release the game for a new console at full price. They're releasing GTA V for the third time on the new consoles so..
