Could play it for two hours today, and the comparison to Fallout 3 really is valid. It feels like an update on it, slightly better in every department.

Thinking about buying it now, even though I struggle to find time to play.

I got Skyrim too. I absolutely loved Oblivion so it was an easy decision for me. Also picked up MW3 which is a massive improvement on Blops.

Too many games coming out at the moment, I want Saints Row 3 too which is out soon but there's already just too much to play.

Stopped right after the hilarious mission with da Vinci's tank.

skyrim is freakishly addictive. i haven't been this obbssessive over a game since i owned a nintendo 64. i've decided to embrace my obssession until i've wrung every last drop out of the game, and then pack my xbox up in 2012.

anyone got mw3? I've heard lots of negative reviews, main points are that its pretty much the same as its predeccessors and gets boring fast.

That's a problem since MW 1.
Always the same just in different parts of the world playing with slightly different "characters".
It's just meh.
Battlefield 3 is a safer bet for those who play so such games; Singleplayer-mode not as bombastic (and boring) as with MW though, but the Multiplayer is miles ahead.

If you've got time, play Skyrim.
Got it today (couldn't resist) and it's simply wonderful.

Think there're a number of videos out there already, mostly some "First ten Minutes" ones who offer a good impression on the game mechanics, although the game is getting much more complex with every passing level.

If you've played Fallout 3 (not at all a fantasy RPG, rather an endtime RPG) before, you'll love Skyrim.

They need to sort out the fights in games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim. Every fight is the same. Need to look at some of the Ninja Gaiden games and spice it up a bit.

I got MW3. Its fine, pretty clear what you are going to get with it. Miles better than Blops, similar to MW2. I didn't bother with BF3 because the only people bigging it up seem to be the same people who've hated MW for a long time. The reviews weren't that amazing either, certainly doesn't seem like the COD we've all been waiting for.

I'd play both of those games, if I wanted an entertaining Singleplayer (MW3) and Multiplayer (BF3) Mode.

Skyrim should be waiting for me when I get back to the civilised continent. Hope it's more Morrowind than Oblivion.

very tempted by Skyrim but I don't like consoles and I'm not tempted enough to get a decked-out PC that'll run it. Guild Wars 2 might change that...

Ended up getting a Wii and the new Zelda game but my god is it hard work to use those pads to play the game. Moving the sword around is frustrating as fuck and quite a few times you have to wildly fling your arms around everywhere for it to work as one quick slice doesn't always register. The game seems decent so far but the control mechanism is really off putting.
