So should I get Red Dead 2, The Witcher, Outer Worlds or Horizon Zero Dawn next for PS4? I really enjoyed Skyrim and Fallout 4 so I'm after something like that.
I'd say that Horizon Zero Dawn has the best gameplay while Red Dead 2 and The Witcher have the best stories, characters and worlds. Although I haven't played Outer Worlds yet, I'd say based on what I know that it's pretty similar to Fallout 4 (it's from the people who made New Vegas). Arthur Morgan is possibly my favorite game protagonist though, so I'd go with Red Dead 2 if you've played the first.

I'd leave The Witcher series personally which I think is overrated. I've never been able to get into any of them despite wasting countless of hours. The writing always feels like something they took from fanficton.net. I never found the world in Witcher 3 engaging either. If I read Asterix's post right he likes the sense of exploration and discovery in Skyrim and Fallout, and in contrast to those games I feel that the world in Witcher is just a paper thin set piece, like in a theatre.
Have to disagree. Witcher 3 the wild hunt dlc is one of my favorite PS4 experiences, and its setting of toussaint is probably the best looking open world ive seen. Even got lost in the built in card game, gwent.
The only major open world game i havent played is horizon zero dawn, which does look great tbf
I have to disagree as well, and second the DLC opinion. That DLC is a fully fledged AAA game on its own, it's amazing. I liked Fallout 4 a lot to be fair, but while the design choices of the world are nice the content pales in comparison to both The Witcher 3 and Red Dead 2.
And if we're talking about the writing in Witcher 3, well... That's the single biggest criticism most people have about Fallout 4. The less said about the dialogue (and story, but especially the dialogue) in Fallout 4, the better.
