Used to enjoy the Tiger Woods games. Been playing The Golf Club 2 on PS4 lately as it was $4 in the PSN Easter sale and I had $5 credit that had been sitting in there for ages. It's quite addictive but putting I find extremely hard. Struggling to get the amount of break right (usually go for not enough) but getting the knack of roughly the right amount of power now so at least the 7 putts have stopped happening which were a feature in my first few rounds! 😆

New Unreal 5 engine demo on the PS5. Graphics and gameplay looking very impressive.

It's really about time we get new consoles. My PS4 sounds like a vacuum cleaner when running new games.

Apparently, they were playing this real time. It wasn’t pre-made like the Xbox demo. So these are the full capabilities games and movies will have access to. Incredible. Cats everywhere will need to Upgrade their PCs or shell out $500 for the PS5

That looks crazy.

That being said I’m hoping game developers use the power to come up with more creative games and concepts rather than just making them bigger and prettier. I rarely have fun playing games these days, they all seem like hard work.

It’s about incentives, Goon. Problem is we are in a phase where the industry wants to create big returns and the best way to do it is by building these huge multi-player environments. So anything allows you to put many players together, engaging, buying things or being watched is likely to be backed. See how popular even the replacement F1 e-sports have become. So I think creativity will be within that community framework.

I bought one before Christmas, its good but still playing far more PS4.

It’s sold out every time I look into purchasing one. I can’t help but think it’s a marketing ploy.

It's because coronavirus halted the manufacturing in Japan for a couple of months, and then Animal Crossing dropped and made sure that virtually all the machines left in stock were being bought up. It looks like it'll be back in stores towards the end of next month though.

Get one if you can once it's back. Breath of the Wild and Luigi's Mansion are amazing fun.

It's often been sold out over here long before COVID-19 hit though, at least on the few occasions I've had a look over the last 12 months or so.

Zelda and Mario bring back some amazing childhood memories. Does it have a good range of local multiplayer games? I quite fancy demonstrating my supremacy over the the kids and the Mrs before it's too late.

Local multiplayer is probably what Switch excels at the most. Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros are my favorites, but there are tons of options like Cuphead, Overcooked, Luigi's Mansion and Mario Party.

My daughter dug out our old Xbox 360 yesterday and hooked it up. Now I'm wondering if my marriage and PhD would survive me cranking out a Skyrim game....after all I never did get around to finishing the main quest or any of the expansions.

My disc drive has gone faulty on my PS4 Pro, have to tap the top of the console while the disc goes in or doesn't read any discs. Joke the quality control these days. I reckon my SNES & N64 that is probably up in the loft would probably still fire up and work fine!

The SSD speeds are suppose to be incredible on the PS5, while the overall power is less than the XBOX the architecture is geared up to really take advantage of the SSD. Potentially have very little to no loading times on this console. Haven't read up too much about the XBOX yet

I don't get any time to play my PS4 much these days yet here I am looking forward to the PS5 and new Xbox and last few days thinking of a Switch as I fancy playing Zelda....
