Played PES demo 2, took out my cash card, pre-ordered it for PS3 and Wii. It's quality.

Really that good mate? Only played the first demo and it looked good but had it's bugs. Might go and download it tonight and see the difference between the two.

Didn't play the first demo so can't say. Read today that they will be updating all the way up until release so this still isn't the completed game; the final patch will be downloaded once you stick it in the system (which explains why the wii version releases a month later than the others).

Why did you order it for two systems?

PS3 will have the full package; superior online (in theory), DLC, better graphics and animations, more game options, released a month earlier plus everyone I know will be playing that version so it's essential for multiplayer.

PES Wii has the best control system for a football game that I have ever seen implemented, so I'll batter that version in solo play plus it only cost £17.99.

Played both demos. Fifa seems far better to me. The advancements in the defending are miles ahead of any football game to date.

The new PES isn't even as good as last years Fifa.

Defending is alot more difficult. Extremely hard to apply both pressure with your player, and a CPU, whilst attempting a standing tackle. I've had the CPU dancing round me for fun. Will take some getting used to.

I've seen some hilarious collisions on the demo. Hoping they've fixed that a bit.

Yeah theres a steep learning curve for defending alright, alot going on. I played a few games today though and eventually won a couple of games at World Class. I'm getting dominated in possession in every game though, its so hard to win the ball back high up the pitch.

I'm still figuring it out but I think different areas of the pitch need different defensive tactics. I have a slight handle on the centre halfs, a good system for full backs and no idea in midfield so far.

Alright, played both demos now.

First of all PES. The second demo is very different to the first and I actually like it. The ball and dribbling animations look a lot better and it's got the old PES feel to it. Think I'm going to buy it this year.

As for the FIFA demo, it's left me feeling very meh. Apart from the new defending and collision system, it feels like exactly the same game. I love FIFA 11 though, so that isn't a totally bad thing and I remember I was very unimpressed with the FIFA 10 and 11 demos and the final game turned out to be much better, so hopefully that'll be the case here.

So yeah, I'll be buying both.

What's up with the weak as crap passing on Fifa. I can power up to the limit and the ball still moves around like a snail, even the players move around slowed than they should. It's similar to the previous installments but it's still kinda fun. The collision system is just like the NHL system and of course the bazillion glitches that come with it.

I tried PES demo 1 (can't find where the 2nd one is) and it's actually ok. I keep hearing the second demo is alot better so i want to give it a try. I have to work on getting back into groove with PES though because it's quite different compared to Fifa.

I'm warming up to FIFA 12 now. Was getting my ass kicked from pillar to post at first, but now i've gotten the hang of the new defensive system I'm holding my own on world class.

Career mode is finally moving to where it should be, you can play mind games in the media, players ask for more playing time if they're benched. i even had arshavin begging to play a fa cup game even though the physio said he had another 2 weeks of recovery. also, clubs have sugar daddy take overs! Bolton got bought out and put in january bids, 60m a piece for Rooney and Kaka lol. there's also a sky-style presentation of deadline day, where time advances by the hour instead of by the day

Anyone played the PC version of Fifa 12? Love Fifa 11 so looking forward to getting my hands on this soon, if only so I can play online and actually have a reasonable team instead of having to take out Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy and having noone to replace them with and not having Ramsey in the squad etc! Haven't had a chance to look at the demo.

What's Arsenal's rating on FiFA 12? Attack defence Overall? We still a 4.5 star team?

Can't say I've been looking forward to it because I haven't really been excited about our team of late. I've seen one game of the demo being played but I haven't touched that myself either.

I'll be getting it at some point today so maybe that'll change over the weekend.

Got the game this morning. Finished work at one. Usually I'd race back to play it, but the suns out and I've just sat in my garden all afternoon. Sign of my age maybe?

we're 5 star somehow. they made wilshere, arteta, song, gervinho, and mertersacker all really strong

Really dislike the new fifa. Its almost impossible to defend now. The standing tackle is very hit and miss and pressing is impossible.

And why is Pro Evo taking so long to be released? It's already out on North America and I think the rest of the world but Europe only gets it on October 14th.

Anybody tried the real Fifa 12? Is the defending as difficult in the real game as in the 2nd demo?
