It's exactly like the playstation classics system Sony uses for the PS3 and PSP

You can download some of the old classics from the NES, SNES and N64 on there as well as games from a few sega consoles

Super mario 64, majora's mask and OOT are all on there as well around 8 other n64 games as are the super mario games from the NES and SNES with final fantasy vi

You're 18 right? So that's understandable, this generation hasn't offered much from Japan.

Xenoblade is absolutely brilliant so far though, easily top five after the couple of hours that I have put in so far.

Looking forward to The Last Story and the new zelda and I think that will just about wrap the wii up for me. PES 2012 and uncharted 3 are the only other games I'm looking forward to (will probably buy Modern Warfare 3 to play with mates and various fighting games).

I played Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 but they aren't my favourites in any case, heard chrono trigger is brilliant and it's on my list of games to play

Play RPGS, Fifa and street fighter/other fighting games and COD with mates

The RPG front isn't looking that rosy anymore, I'm just hoping that final fantasy versus can push Square back into the right direction (can't make a judgement on if Xenoblade is an example of rpgs getting back to their old ways since i haven't played it) I still liked Final Fantasy 12 though and wouldn't mind if they went back to that formula as that game had an enormous amount of side quests (well one massive monster hunting sidequest).

Xenoblade is by monolith but if you like FF12, you will definitely enjoy it. You could easily describe it as FF12 on steroids.

The Last Story is supposed to get a european release in early 2012, not sure about the US; it's developed by mistwalker and more specifically is designed and directed by the guy who invented final fantasy so it could be exactly what you are waiting for.

Uncharted 3 and the new Assassins Creed, that's what i'm pumped for. I'll probably get Battlefield 3 and CoD just to play with friends though. Other than that i'll probably play the sports games (NHL, Fifa, NFL...etc) and random other games like The Last Story and others a few months after their release.

I really want to get into an RPG again but i can't find anything good. I even have all 3 systems but either don't have the time or get sick and tired of them within an hour. Final Fantasy 6 is still my favourite and Chrono Trigger was awesome. I didn't even play FF13 yet 😆 I'm thinking of playing Witcher 2 mainly because the first was pretty good.

Anyone played the pes or fifa demo yet?

Played the PES demo. It had improvements from the last version but could be even better if they could iron out a few problems in the demo when the real version comes out. There are a few too many fouls and freekicks for people getting a nudge and stumbling without falling. Also there seems to be a few too many miscontrols of the ball. If they could manage to get the best bits out of the demo, and add it to what was good in the previous version then I think it could be the making of a great game.

Haven't played much of Fifa outside of the few games of Fifa 11 I play with certain mates. No idea about the demo.

Played the PES demo and it seems same old same old to me. Some improvements but overall very meh. PES just haven't seemed to cope with the leap to PS3. The keepers are woeful and some of the animations are just plain weird. The ball is strange too.. behaves very oddly when you are dribbling.. like it's on string or something. There is button delay too.

Two PES demos will be released though, the second is apparently closer to the final product which you'd think will show improvements in the areas I've mentioned.

Not played the FIFA demo yet. Was going to create a US PSN account to get it early but think I'll just wait now. Heard that while it looks very similar to 11, it plays very differently.

Dunno about that Luka. I think most of the people who've changed from PES to Fifa have basically been downplaying PES for a couple years now. Since the poor PES 2008 and 2009 on the PS3 the games have been really good for me. Much more realistic than Fifa where most of the game is pressing L1+X then L1+Triangle to chip through ball to your striker. It's kind of fun but the players seem to be a bit too bulky and slow balls near you where in real life you'd expect tp be first to the ball end up reaching other players due to a mixture of weird ball physics and the game making players give up chasing it at full pelt.

I haven't got anything against Fifa but do find it a bit to simple t play really. Most PES guys I know can play Fifa to a decent/good level whereas I've noticed most guys who play Fifa these days struggle really bad to play PES. Think that's probably why people in North America and other non football crazy countries seem to exclusively play Fifa and haven't got a clue about PES/Winning Eleven as it's easier to just pick up and play. From what I've played of both, for me there's less technique and skill needed to play Fifa.

Oh and there was a glitch this one time on Fifa where the game would only let me play with 7 players from kick off. No matter how many times I kicked off I never had either of my attacking mids or my two strikers. That had to be the funniest football glitch I'd ever seen.

New PES demo goes live in europe in a couple of hours apparently; gave the first one a miss as I have no interest in a product so far from completion (leave that for the PC nerds).

Absolutely can't stand Fifa. Bought the last edition because mates wanted to play online and gave it away free after a week.

Never bought it, so I only play Fifa every once in a while with mates. I've realised most of my mates who have changed to Fifa did so because they were struggling against the rest.

Just for the record, I was a massive PES fan and couldn't stand FIFA. I want to like PES again but every addition just hasn't had the same feel since PES6, the last one I enjoyed. A lot of people saying they reckon this latest one feels more like PES6 than any of the following games though, and I'll definitely be giving the second demo a go. My preference for FIFA these days has nothing to do with difficulty either.

Mate, wasn't having a go at you mate. Was talking more in terms of mates of mine who I know personally more than anything and some people I know from Canada/US who don't really have much of an interest in football but play Fifa. I know you used to be big on Pro, I seem to remember you from another forum from back in the day. PESFan I think or something. Think you used to be a mod on there right? Haven't been on there for a while though since the PS2 days.

Yeah I was a mod. I miss the perk of getting PES for free and early. 🙁

You guys seen some of the videos going round of glitches in FIFA because of the new collision system? Some hilarious stuff. 😆

Defending is alot more difficult. Extremely hard to apply both pressure with your player, and a CPU, whilst attempting a standing tackle. I've had the CPU dancing round me for fun. Will take some getting used to.

I've seen some hilarious collisions on the demo. Hoping they've fixed that a bit.
