I'd heard of that and I store my companions at Red Rocket so I walked around checking but nothing. I might build a bell and ring it to see if anyone turns up. I'm thinking more that its a glitch though because Deacon was stored there and his arms and legs have gone really odd looking.

I store stuff that is important to me with my active companion. Yes, you have to remove the fusion core to make sure your settlers don't mess with your power armor. Haven't noticed any things stored at a workbench that has gone missing though.

Did Spectacle Island earlier, which was fun. Good exploration! I've seen on YouTube that some have built the shit out of that place. Have to say, I have totally lost interest in my settlers. Unless they are under attack I don't give a shit anymore. When all is said and done with the game I may give it a proper go to see if I can get those ungrateful bastards to get to 100 happiness. Think I'm going to continue on the main quest my next session, which for me is to get into the Institute. I've sort of put that off since it seems to lead dangerously close to the end. 🙂

Come to think of it, Deacon glitched for me in the first railroad quest; mofo refused to open a door which he was supposed to open, and it was driving my nuts trying to figure out what I was missing. 🙂

I finished the main story yesterday. Go to the institute you have loads more to do.

More weird stuff. Was heading back to Red Rocket pn foot and randomly found Hancock dead in the wasteland a little bit down the road from my settlement where he was supposed to be looking after some corn.

What am I doing wrong once inside the Institute? Do the holotape thing, get inside the elevator, get to Shaun's room, only to find doors I can't open. Where do I find that damn key?!

Stand right next to the window and start talking to the kid.

Oh. I'll try that. Talking to your kid you haven't seen for 200 years?! Ridiculous...

Yeah, that was a plot twist! Don't quite know what to think at this point. Made a special save right here, because going back to this junction and play the game out with a different choice looks on the cards.

Oh yeah? Did the Libertalia, and that was an awesome place btw, and I just can't decide which faction to go with now! Trying to figure out what would be more fun between the different objectives of the 4 big players. They all have their pros and cons I'd say. 🙂

None of the endings are any good unfortunately, in true Bethesda style.

New Vegas was utterly disappointing for me. So, Klaus, I take it you have played out all the different scenarios?

I began one of them but didn't like where it headed, so I went in another direction for a while and didn't like it either. Then I just gave up and youtubed them instead, and felt extremely disappointed. The whole point of choice is that there's supposed to be some form of reasonable compromise, not just a cherrypicking between two evils. There's only one ending that isn't a disaster, and that one's still disappointing.

I have only done one ending and yep it was disappointing. I think a more elaborate cut scene could have made it pretty epic too. And the sort of epilogue thing after the end, jesus what a heap of shit. Was just like another teaser trailer. Happy enough with the faction I chose though, they seemed like the only good guys of the 3 real choices you can make (you're always a minuteman AFAIK).

Thinking of restarting and going with a different faction for a new play through. I missed a lot of one factions missions that look pretty fun. Might create a build especially to play to their strengths.

Please no Fallout spoilers. Seems like a massive game, almost overwhelming. The shooting is horrible, so I have to use VATS all the time.

VATS is great, of course, but once you are a bit stronger and ammo is no longer an issue, then it adds a dimension to the game IMO to go freestyle.

I love VATS. Im obsessed with trying to clear big groups of enemies in one vats session. Thats why i have 10 agility.
