How do you repair power armor?

You need to find a power armor station. It's those yellow ones. There's one at the Red Rocket truck stop. You need to exit your power armor in-between the beams, or at least close to them, and after that the station functions just like a work bench. You just approach it and push the a button to craft.

Just realized you can can store mods from one weapon and apply them to another. Why wasn't that in any sort of description?! That is well handy when you come across cool mods on a crappy weapon!
Also. If you plant a lot of vegetables in one of your little camps, then you can harvest and make vegetable starch. Why is that any good then? Well, it gives you 5 adhesive, and I find that I often run out of just that.

I figured out the power armor thing there this morning. I'm kind of obsessed with upgrading it even though I barely use it. Good tip on the starch Rex. I find I'm running out of aluminum the quickest at the moment. What are good sources apart from the obvious aluminum can?

Dunno. Getting tired of Codsworth as my companion, even though he is handy in combat. You got a perk once you hit the highest level of affinity there, so there may be something similar with other companions.

Any perks? I've only gone with Codsworth, and you got some interaction with robots perk once I'd impressed him enough.

Yep, vegetable starch is really useful. You can make cutting fluid at the chemistry station too by combining acid, bone, purified water and... steel, I think. You get 5 oil from one batch.

Molerat teeth are a great source for bone. I found 6 or 7 of those creatures in a small cave right beneath the red rocket truck stop, and they respawn every few days. I've got a perk that makes animals drop twice as much resources, so I potentially get two pieces of meat and one or two teeth from each rodent.

TV dinner trays are great. Any kind of tray apart from the plastic cafeteria ones really. They give you 3 aluminum each.

I'm obsessed with building at the moment. I've been making two of these huge complexes in Sanctuary, and now I'm in the process of connecting them with bridges but I ran out of steel. I think I'm gonna start experimenting with the light switches next. People have been getting really creative on youtube:

A couple of them gave me food and meds and stuff but nothing amazing. Spent a lot of time with Piper, then the detective, then Hancock. Gone back to the detective now. He's the funniest so far.

I just met Piper. Can you sleep with your companions? Reckon after 200 years that should be high among my list of priorities, for the sake of realism ofc.

You can sleep with most of them if you have high enough charisma to pull off your flirting. The screen just goes black though and the next morning you've got a bonus boost for a short while where your xp counts double or something.

I usually go about my exploring alone, but I've used Nick and Cait as companions on occasion. They both have interesting backstories that they talk to you about. They initiate two pretty good quests too (Nick's is called Long Time Coming, Cait's is called Benign Intervention) once you've gained their approval. You can't get these quests anywhere else.

So, decided to go in for weapon mods after Klaus convinced me it was useful. Now have a submachine combat shotgun with 91 health points of damage, and Kellogg's gun is amazing. Pretty ridiculous, but sweet. 🙂 Need another science point to make pretty much all of my weapons officially awesome.
Unfortunately, I have also got more involved in the settlements. It is VERY time consuming. Need to get trade lines in place between the settlements; from what I understand, then you have shared work bench inventory for all your settlements. That would be a big help.

Yeah I've decided to get local Leader as my next perk I think. Although I'm trying to push my endurance to 9 so I can get the ghoulish perk too.

I found a stranded ship full of Norwegian ghouls last night. One of them shouted "Gå vekk!" at me when I approached, so I sniped him in the face and his friend was all: "Gasp! Du drepte han!" I love this game.

In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have killed them. Does anyone know if they were potentially friendly? Their health bars turned orange when I used VATS to study them so I figured they were foes, and then the Norwegian thing convinced me.
