Got an Xbox One.
It's got some great little features, the speed for one thing is great. Switching from a game to the dashboard(?) and to another app is seamless, and being able to turn the console off, turn it back on and pick up where you left off in the game or video was also a nice surprise.
As expected the Kinect seems a bit hit and miss, amazing when it works but the inconsistency in voice recognition means you'll have to reach for the remote eventually (also why I won't hook it up to my Sky Box). It's not that it doesn't recognise what you're saying, it's that it doesn't seem to pick up anything at all at times. Mind you, that might be down to the room being full of noisy women and kids, some of whom jump in and try and get it to work before you've even finished your command.
As for the games, I don't have any. But gave FIFA 14 demo a spin, genuinely can't comprehend how anyone can say they don't notice any difference between this and the 360 version. Have big hopes for FIFA 15.
Amazon Instant Video works and looks pretty great in HD and the speed of the XBOne power up and switching apps means it's effortless to put something on the telly. Shame Sky are being wankers and refuse to release an app.
