A friend lent me the World Cup game since my FIFA 14 is broken, my word, how can it be so bad?

I expected FIFA 14 with a new coat of paint, but it's much much worse. It's awful. Gameplay is absolutely dire. I hope this isn't a sign of whats to come on FIFA 15 on the 360. I doubt it is.

Download a NES emulator and a copy of Nintendo World Cup instead. Like all Technōs games the sports backdrop is mostly a thinly veiled excuse for players to beat eachother up. Fouls aren't punished, offsides don't exist, there's a mechanic for kicking people in the crotch and you can knock out opponents who then lie unconscious on the field for the rest of the game. Basically it's the world cup that the Honduras national team always wanted.

WC games have always been quite different to FIFA realeses so you dont have to worry about this. They have a different development team working on it.

There is a WC thing on FUT which my son plays a lot these days. Looks the same as everything else on 14.

I loved Skyrim and need a PS4 title which is good, and preferably in the same ballpark. What to get?

Try Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. I can't stand the series usually but I liked that one. There was a lot of open world exploration compared to its predecessors.

Played the first two in the series, started the third but realized pretty much within three hours of playing that I had had it. Can't stand to hear another 'rest in peace' in Italian...

Just buy Elder Scrolls: Anthology for your PC then. 🙂

Most of the games except for Skyrim are oldish so you'll have no performance issues. You'll get Morrowind that way too which is the best one in the series. And you can delve into the mod scene for each title, which is the best thing about those games. You'll get another couple hundred hours out of Skyrim that way.

Been thinking about that since you last mentioned it, but I can't buy a spanking new PS4 and not have a decent game to play!

Get Wolfenstein: The New Order then. It's great fun.

Also, get on Playstation Network and download Rayman Legends, and you'll have plenty to do while you're waiting for The Witness to get a release date.

Feel a bit dirty for saying it, but I much prefer Chelsea players over our own lot when playing FIFA. Just realized I have a fair few in my squad. There is something to be said about pace and power I guess. 🙂

gonna get GTA 5 when it comes out for PC. wish destiny would come out on PC, too. consoles are so lame - why pay extra for a thing that does what your computer already does better?

You don't need the hassle of upgrading your computer all the time to manage new games. I stopped that a few years back and went with a console instead. Now, I did buy a new computer around New Year's, but I plan on keeping the same one for quite a while.
