Wenger has mentioned a few times recently how he wants a British core as he feels they'll be more likely to stay long term
Would love it to happen
Shaw and begovic would be good additions too

There are maybe 10-15 links in tomorrow's papers to all sorts of players. Not buying any of them.
I have noticed Suarez is loath to passing him the ball, so there may be issues between them, but cannot imagine Liverpool selling one of the few jewels they've got.
If it's his first senior contract, they may not have much say.
If Walcott isn't signing a contract.. I'd definity be up for a swap deal
I'd prefer him to willy zaha, but would be happy with either
I'd gladly ship Walcott to Liverpool if we can get Sterling
Here's the thing about Sterling. He doesn't exactly come with the most glowing of character references. Not enough to normally make me worry about a player his age, but...
Given his level of talent, Liverpool would be bonkers to let him go in exchange for a player who's out of contract in 6 months under normal circumstances. Maybe I'm over thinking this, but if Liverpool dangle Sterling, I'd ask myself why.
Otherwise he's a quality player.
Well if they stand to loose out on him later because he refuses to sign a contract they might find it appealing to bring some one in at the same time now.
Somewhat true about his character but what has signing a bunh of nice guys got us? I don't think it will happen mainly because Theo won't get the wages he wants there
Sterling isn't going to leave Liverpool. They have him until 2014 and will sort something out.
Reckon he'll stay at 'Pool, but he could be the type that walks away for a bit more money or if he feels unappareciated.
He's a good player but if he wants silly wages at this age, what is he going to be like later on in his career once we've developed him?
He should stay at Liverpool and develop anyway, he's getting regular playing time and for a club in Europe.
Sterling reminds me a bit of Lennon. Not a fan personally.
Why will we replace a guy who needed development for 5 years and then left, with another guy in the same situation, walcotts replacement has to be someone 23-24 who can pick up from where he left off.
Sterling doesn't have the end product yet - but he's a more Cesc than Lennon for me, in that he looks the sort of player that will develop in that direction within a few years.
I'd happily take one of Zaha or Sterling, though neither are ready to replace Theo yet. England are going to have a quality attack in 3-4 years.
There's no way Liverpool let Sterling walk now, anyway, unless they have serious concerns about his attitude (which I doubt)
I think Sterling is a brilliant talent. As long as he keeps his attitude in check he'll go right to the top imo.

Yep, it's his touch and movement which are top class. He's far better than Lennon
Agree, has a lot more to his game than Lennon
He just turned 18 aswell, think his game is very mature for some one of that age, development can be massive in the next couple of years.
Would definitely prefer him to Zaha from what I've seen of the two.
No chance Liverpool are letting him go though.
Of the little I've seen of the two I think I'd prefer Zaha. Strikes me as a better and more exciting player, though neither seem good enough for a top club yet. We shall see soon enough though.
