Yeah Nela! You and your suggestions!
The best Spaniard in the PL.
Sorry Nela, that sounded bit harsh I guess. The idea that was being floated during the season - Cazorla not being an automatic starter - has scarred me.
Dula's around to defend you though
That was always a weird discussion. Was clear from the first day of the season that Cazorla is the best player in the team.
He's overrated though.
He's not
He's playing in a new physically more demanding league surrounded by players who are themselves either recovering from long term injury, adapting to the league and to playing alongside each other for the first season.
Even when you don't make allowances for those facts you can still acknowledge that he's deservedely rated for his technical ability, his creativity, his hardwork and his two footedness , his top finishing and goal poaching.
Or underrated wrt to those saying he should be a squadie

Yup, and his stats must be impressive
Yes, they are
This may annoy some of you
Cazorla not only > than Mata and Silva but > than Ronaldo and, steady yourselves,
> than Bale
goals per 199 shots minus pelanties..?
Well it is April 1st
I have no idea whether or not any of those stats are real
He's was too inconsistant the first half of the season. When he's consistently playing at the level he is now(which I think he can from now going forward) he gets the relative praise. Not that strange, really.
He's not better than Fabregas or world class though like some were saying at the start of the season. But he is a quality player, that can get better and most excitingly, he is turning into a real goalscorer(which I said he could and suggested he should be used that way, remember y va? ).
He's not being used any differently now than he was at the beginning of the season though Nela?
He just happens to be scoring more It's not as if he's been deployed as our main striker. He has the same free roaming creative central role bar the few occaisions where he's played on the left.
Up until Novemberish he was consistetly great.
He had a so so iffy phase over December, maybe into January, but at no stage was he a candidate for being dropped as a lot of people suggested.

That's not true. At the start of the season he was used pretty exclusively in the number 10 role, and we played a much more flat midfield behind him. Now Wenger uses him more on the left than centrally. He will occasionally still play him behind Giroud, but more often his starting position is from the left and our midfield is more fluid than it was at the start of the season.
Captain told y'all ages ago. That's all that's important.
you got it spot on about Gervinho recently too Captain.
@ Nela, I don't see that his role is greatly different. He's reverted to playing centrally since Jack's been injured and unless I'm remembering incorrectly ( very possible) he's only started on the left wing a few times.
Anyway we can agree now that he's an automatic starter, first name on the team sheet
If anything his form was better at the start of the season now.
He's better centrally, although, with the lack of balanced options for the front three, he's best used there for the time being
The end of season answer is very clearly Mata. Wish we'd signed him.
Michu

Michu: 41 appearances, 21 goals, 5 assists.
32 assists is insane :o Is he their main set-piece taker?
