Nani
Arsenal/United deals involving good players don't go that direction.
Wouldn't say no. And he's probably as close to "recognized top level quality" as we're going to get. Why has he fallen out of favour at United?
He's not one for obediently following Fergie orders?
He has tonnes of ability but I don't know, just wouldn't trust him to turn his career around here.
If we're serious about playing a big lump up front, then Nani's the sort of winger we need. But he's not been in form for more than a year now.

We may love him as he may refuse to follow Wenger's tippy-tappy orders. Not me, personally, as i have never forgiven him for taking the piss with his juggling act
Wouldnt say no but Ferguson would only give us players that would significantly weaken us ala Silvestre.....not going to happen
I would take him for a decent price. He's a nasty piece of work and he's been in shit form for a while but he's also a skilful player with a very high ceiling. Gut feeling is that he'll go to Italy or Spain instead though.
I would pay the £3.5 million to activate Diame's release clause in a heartbeat too.
Hugely talented but selfish, erratic and frustrating.
Tainted, too...
I'd love him here but Ferguson would never sell to us.
Depends if Ferguson considers him useful. Ferguson prefers to use Rooney, Young and Valencia on the wings. At some point Kagawa comes back, possibly giving Rooney even more time on the wings. He can be an erratic player, but he immediately gives us a skilled guy who takes on defenders, makes runs, and is willing to fire belters. We need a guy who is selfish and skilled on the team.
He's got a good delivery on him too.
Why do we need a guy that's selfish & skilled? Not sure I understand that requirement...
dont think he's as selfish as you make out
It's precisely the reason Fergie can't stand him.
do you not feel we need an attacker who takes the initiative a bit more? well one who takes it and is not headless chicken
We need a selfish guy, Asa. When I say selfish, I mean a guy who is capable of taking on players, and will take them and fashion a chance for himself. Right now, we are too dependent on guys who pass or guys who need to be passed to.
Don't know about Nani, he's another one of those players who, at 26, has never been as good as he should be. Class in spurts but can go either way.
yes please. terrific player.
Flipping hell. Is he already 26?
