Umm...if he's such a talent, why didn't anyone want him at any point in the past three years? He joined West Ham on a free this summer and no one gave a shit.

He's obviously put in some strong performances recently but there's a nagging thought in my mind that he'd go all papa bouba for us

He's fucked like Ba.

kinda seems like an easy way to make a buck since his release clause is so low. maybe we can scrounge up 3.5m, buy diame, sign him (make sure there's no release clause!), sell him for 8m to whoever, then PROFIT.

Its either Diaby or him. Since Diaby is back I bet Wenger won't sign Diame. They are far too similar

We used to shop in Waitrose. Now we are scouring Lidl!

He has heart problems but that's ok, who uses his heart anyway? I'm sure he'll pass a medical here, Rosicky and Diaby had no problems either.

I think tonight showed exactly why he'd be useful here. For £3.5m I think its well worth a go.

Win the ball back and give it to Jack or Santi?

Sometimes its just that simple.

Hope this goes through; have convinced myself that he would be the signing of the season.

yup, Capi.
a transfer's success is not determined only by the quality of the player in question, but also by the extent of the need that he is to fill.

He is quality though. Much better than M'Vila for instance and probably better than Diaby too. Think he'd be an absolute steal. But if we really wanted him we would have paid the money a long time ago.

only seen him play a couple of times. decent player, but not sure he'll improve us by that much.

Diame as played against Arsenal 7 times in his career. Gotta be honest, I think he's looked decent enough most times I've seen him this season, but I've never come away for a game against us wishing he was on our team.

Would he not be in some way Scottie Parkerish in what he offers a team?

No. He's more offensive minded

We're too snobby about stuff like this. Obviously we'd love to have a defensively strong, physical, energetic midfielder who can also pick out lovely passes. But when you have good attacking quality in other players, sometimes it really does pay off having a massive dickhead whose only job is to go around abusing opponents.

We have to play to our strengths. Who's our only chance of dragging us onto the next level? Answer: Wilshere. So then you put all your eggs in the Wilshere basket and find him a bitch that'll do his dirty work for him. Then you get your Cazorla's and Oxlade's to support, and your Theo's and Podolski's to read his game. That's the only way we're moving forward.

Diame isn't a defensive player or a dedicated ball winner. He's like a more aggressive, slightly less skillful Diaby.
