Many of the mentioned points make sense, and I can imagine how one would make a difference. But I can't help but think that our main issue is that we don't get anywhere near what we can and should from our midfield. Before we have a commanding midfield, it'll all be very up and down, at best.
Last year we had a shitty midfield, and still went on that run asa mentioned. true, but we had a significant break through in midfield then (Rosicky, with some surprising and impressive form). And we had the best striker in the league, in top form.
And though part of this is looking at Cazorla, and getting what we really can from him (first games with us), a bit hoping Art finds some form, and part looking at new arrivals; my main focus still here is on Jack the lad.
It's early, cruel, and somewhat unrealistic to pin my hopes on him - must take months until he's really in full flow. But still I do: I hope to see No.10 snap, take everything on him and lead the line.
More than anything, this pale version of Arsenal IMO is due to not getting the best out of our players. Much has been said about the manager's role, formations, fatigue, whatever. But when potential is not being materialized, something there has to do with the players themselves, and some mental block. A possessed Jack Wilshere can move something in that respect. Shot in the dark 😆 - what else is there now.
