Yo Rex, what would you recommend for rotator cuff tendonitis or shoulder impingement? It's probably shoulder impingement, I get it every now and again ever since I dislocated my shoulder a few years back.
Sling, ice, and ibuprofen?
No sling.
Go to a physio you cheap bastard, It could be a million and one things, However if i was you id also try this until i could do it for 2 minute holds without shaking (start on the first one laying down for 2-3 weeks before you move to the second one laying down)
Then this with a light band not a heavy band as shown
And some thoracic foam roller work.
Theres no good videos of should rehab on youtube, but theirs some general basic stuff to start off.
No doing any pressing overhead while its sore or upright row. If you have to bench, bench press with elbows at 45 abduction instead of 90 (closer to the body). Rather than benching try push ups with your hands gripping the floor as hard as possible (white knuckles). Progress to push ups with feet 12 inches of the floor on a box when pain free. With a push up your bringing your chest to the floor not your chin.
ibuprofen is great to settle the inflammation. once you don't have stomach issues.
