Haven't posted in here for a few months, but still going well with my diet and fitness plan. Have lost just under 14kg in total, final goal is probably another 3-4 away. Doing different forms of sport/exercise most days at the moment. Over summer it's been gym 2 or 3 days a week depending on other sports, boxing twice a week run by a guy at work (just sparring with pads, not actual fights), 5 a side football one night, tennis pratice one night and interclub tennis on Saturdays.
On Sunday we had a 6.5km fun run/walk in Wellington which is on this time every year. Have done it the last few years but just walked as I've never been much of a runner. Been doing a bit of running with my other half over the last few months so attempted to run it this time. Was aiming to run at least half of it before walking the rest and finish in under an hour but surprised myself by managing to run the whole thing in 40 minutes. Got to the halfway mark and still felt fine so kept going. Started to struggle a bit after 5km but could taste the finish line by then so didn't want to stop. May not sound massive but it's the first time I've managed to run that sort of distance non stop. Couple of years ago I couldn't have even dreamed of being able to run it. Can aim for under 40 minutes next year now.
