Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger steps up interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha Arsène Wenger has asked Pat Rice, his former assistant manager and trusted aide, to personally scout Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. Rice, who was Wenger’s assistant for 16 seasons before his retirement this year, has already watched Zaha several times this season and was at Selhurst Park on Saturday when he scored twice in the 4-3 win over Burnley. It was the second game in succession that Zaha has delivered a match-winning performance, with the 19 year-old also scoring twice in Palace’s 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Tuesday night. Zaha is also firmly on the radar of both Newcastle United and Liverpool but Crystal Palace did turn down an offer from at least one Premier League club earlier this year for the England Under-21 international. Arsenal have not made a bid or any formal inquiry for Zaha at this stage and are already well stocked with wingers, but Theo Walcott’s future remains uncertain as he continues to stall on the offer of a new contract. Zaha would also be regarded as a signing for the future and could potentially play in any of the attacking positions in Arsenal’s 4-2-3-1 formation. Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has previously admitted that every player has their price but has also been adamant that he would only sell a young talent like Zaha at a fee that adequately reflects his potential. With Palace also having begun the season so strongly, there would also be an added incentive to keep Zaha in January if they are still in contention for promotion to the Premier League.

Got stick for my last one about Radderz but this seems very possible. Jeremy Wilson is usually reliable and spot on about Giroud in April before anybody else ran that story.
Will never be as good as his brother Luis.
Rex, you mean Louis?
Maybe we should just call them by their numbers. Forget this whole name nonsense.
Pwned.
Rex got OWNED.
😆

You could be right. Not too bothered with players of other teams. If he had been an Arsenal player though - then I would get it right. Every time.
I am so saving that gif Klaus! God knows what you were searching for when you found it...

Goal think we have opened negotiations. If we sign him, I don't see why leaving him at Palace until summer is a bad option; in fact, I think it's the best option.
I welcome this signing... ... if it does not prevent bringing in veterans who can help today, aujourd'hui, vandag.
heard good things about him. any truth to it?
I think we'll sign him. I also think he'll prove to be the real deal.

He's very very quick, powerful and has hollywood skills - not convinced he has intelligence to bring others into play.
Probably will be a good flat track bully - think gervinho being zapped by the honey i shrunk the kids machine on reverse
Zaha is yet another project player, he has some skills but won't play more than AOC for instance and looks like another Gervinho I don't think a guy dribbling around is the answer to our attacking problems.
I've never seen him play. Is he a Dembele or a Chamberlain type of player?
Big, fast, skilful & direct, if a little raw.
What little I've seen, and what I've read suggests to me he's no joke. A cut about the Sinclair / Moses types that have come up from the Championship in recent seasons, from what I can tell.
