i agree. it's not like we got him cheap though. same with koscielny, really. both were decent buys in that we got useful players at reasonable prices, but isn't that what we expect?
sometimes, a player just doesn't work out, and that's fine. you win some, you lose some. but signings like chamakh are just inexcusable. he obviously has no shooting technique - i don't know how that went unnoticed when scouting a striker.
