Podolski has been superb. As has Diaby. Need more from Giroud and Chamberlain in the second half.

He has been great. Of course he is going to misplace a couple balls, but his general play, dribbling, control and surging runs from midfield have been absolutely outstanding.

Guys, ease up on Giroud. For both this chance and the one in the Sunderland game, his movement was great, but the angle he was running on means it is a tough shot against the angle of the run. Easy to miscue. Chamakh wouldn't even hit the ball.

Ball carrying is a massively underrated quality for a midfielder to have, I think. It's a different and less predictable way of changing the shape of a game when you can drive past a couple of players. It makes the passing options more dynamic, and therefore more dangerous.

I'm not sure why we haven't challenged Liverpool's defenders more. They try to play the ball out of the defence but they're not very good at it. Skrtel and Agger looked very uncomfortable against City when they were put under pressure.

He doesn't though. Have you ever seen Chamakh make a run towards goal? He's usually running the other way if he can get away with it.
