I missed the replay but live it looked like Glen didn't touch him. You're right though, madness to even give the ref a chance to make a decision there. Not only has Valencia done you a favor by ruining the move with his slow decision making, you should read that dribble to the outside every time.

I thought that was a definite pen. Valencia is about to shoot and Johnsons comes clattering into him getting no where near the ball.

No he starts diving before Johnson makes contact. And it's a contact sport so even if he does make contact that's no reason for a foul.

Valencia falls over easily and the ref falls for it. No foul.

Sending off was fair enough (though no punishment for Evans), penalty probably wasn't one. We could easily be saying that the penalty was correctly not given and Shelvey was lucky to get off with a yellow.

Meanwhile Liverpool have run around like a bunch of headless chickens unable to capitalise on a very ineffectual United outfit.

Think we've got a better team than United. It's easy to win games when you don't really have to defend, because every time you might have to the whistle blows in your favour. The one time it doesn't and they get scored on.
