According to popular vulgar mythology- I've got something against Spanish teams and Spanish players.
This is untrue, I have something against some Spanish teams and some players, just like I have against some British teams and players.

As they say (I don't know if it's true) that in Chinese the words for 'crisis' and 'opportunity' are the same, so thanks to the Euro crisis, might there be rich pickings for cheap to be had from La Liga?
Looking for your input in particular Klaus.

Their league is dead and everyone outside of Barca and Madrid is available.

That Michu bloke seems a real scoop.
I'm Surprised Wengie wasn't on to him.

I really hope we go for Banega if the Sahin deal falls through. Could do with Soldado too while we're at it raiding Valencia.

The current bargains on the market for Spanish players must be like some kind of dream for Wenger.
Surprised that he has not taken more advantage of the circumstances.

His big economic brain has moved on to the next national crash

I think he's trying. Cazorla is a good example. If any other top club outside of Spain had been awake there's no chance in hell we would've gotten to him first. We're at an advanced stage in negotiating for Sahin too. Those two would cost >£50 million under normal circumstances.

True enough plus there're still seven transfer days remaining.
His work may not yet be complete.

Italy might be the next national crash Dula.

Jovetic! Though I don't think there's any way we could sneak in there and pick him off.

Have we ever had an Italian play for us?
Don't think so.

Poor don Vito, still here but already forgotten 🙂

Vito "bringing the pretty" Mannone.

We'll see him in the Carling Cup this year.

Mannone did play a couple of games in the 1st team didn't he.....
Don't think Lupoli ever did.

I remember Mannone playing an inspired game against Fulham a few years ago

He played once in the league, against Blackburn. We lost.

  • wikipedia.

Well that would have been in Al's day.
Surely any goalie who could have collected a cross would have seemed "inspired" to us.
