No, it bloody well is not the truth. Trolling at this point to come out with Arsenal playing more attractive football than Man U.
Deservedly beat by both Norwich and Schalke without us even creating a decent goal scoring opportunity in 180 minutes shows our football to be utterly crap.

If by best you mean aesthetically pleasing then we aren't even in the top 3.

We are just living off our image. We play slow, cumbersome, telegraphed football that you can see from a mile off. And we have been doing that since god forsaken ages.

Although, sporadically we do produce some great displays over the course of a season.

I said entertaining, not best. There are no greatly entertaining football teams in England at the moment. Just individual players.

Except Arsenal, have you ever found any English teams entertaining?

Definitely. I generally found football a lot more entertaining 6-10 years ago though, and that goes for Premier League too. The current generation (to the extent that it's even possible to talk about generations in European football) of players is fairly technical but not very "skillful", if that makes sense. Spain and Italy are the two main exceptions at the moment but even there it's rare to find genuinely breathtaking players. I think Germany and England have big generations coming through, though.

Brian Cloughs Nottingham Forest 78/79 were very entertaining, that was the only time in 40 years I was tempted to stray, lucky we won the FA cup to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Hey Tim, given you used to be in the forces, do you just see footballers as a bunch of pansies?

Nah, it's just completely different Tonester. I worked alongside quite a few lads who got pro contracts in football and rugby etc, but were released after a couple of years, so ended up joining the marines.

Given the choice I'd have been a footballer though 😆

Wilshere, Chamberlain, Gibbs, McEachran. At least two of them will be future world beaters with proper development. A third is already there. Or was at least, before he got injured. Keep Shrek playing for a few more years and stuff the squad with a couple Cleverleys, Walcotts and Sterlings and you've got a terrific team.

football's boring now, players these days don't seem to play with any personality. maybe it's not possible anymore, since the general level of athleticism and ability has gone up.
