So who do you think plays the best football in the Premier League?

It depends. None of the teams have displayed consistently brilliant football yet, but when they click, probably United(brilliant forwards) and Chelsea(three midget geniuses). City should be able to play some wonderful stuff as well, but they have Mancini as manager.

If we replaced Gervinho with an able footballer, got Jack back into the team and brought in a top striker, we'd be in the mix as well. That's a pretty tall order from us though.

I thought 'best' meant the football that is the most succesful. In that case then Man U have clearly showed in recent years that their football is the 'best'.

If you mean 'the most enjoyable for you to watch', then you need to rephrase the question.

City at the start of last season played some incredible football. But no one's playing anything that gets me out of my seat this season.

In that context, 'best football' is being played by the team who wins. Why then even ask the question? Just look at the table.

I meant mainly the most enjoyable to watch but most successful i'd like to hear too.

I think Chelsea are playing the best at the moment.

No one's playing great football in Premier League. Chelsea are the most entertaining side to watch at the moment, followed by Arsenal. City can be decent when they feel like it. Swansea too. I'd rather watch us lose to Norwich again than sit through ninety minutes of United, Stoke or Liverpool at the peak of their powers though. Horrific fucking clubs. They're the venereal diseases of the football community. They thrive on human misery and they're impossible to get rid of. You wouldn't want to know a person who brags about one of them.

United are quite good no? To be fair i've seen none of their games bar Liverpool v Utd.

Agree. I think players lose so much when they bulk up. Chambo has lost some of hat ability to beat a man. Fortunately Gareth bale is carbo loading and has lost the insane pace he had. Silly monkey.

All the top Spanish players are so slight then there's Torres 😆

Even accounting for the erratic displays (including awful ones like against Norwich) I think we are still the 'prettiest' to watch. Obviously that doesn't mean best - as we are nowhere near. I'm no football snob at all and I would love us to be more direct but some of the passing build-ups - there was even one in the first half against Norwich very, very early on (I think Podolski took too long to shoot?) that you don't see even Chelsea playing. We are so focused on the game and the usual frustration of fucking up the final ball that good moves are only remembered for the poor end product and someone fucking up. Chelsea's football atm is more focused on individual displays (Mata or Hazard pulling off something great) but we sometimes do play some fantastic, intricate stuff as a team. An underrated team in this aspect is Man Utd - I get the feeling a lot of people look at their players on paper and their 97th minute scrambled winners and discard them as a non-technical side. While they are not good at it - as their displays in Europe last year (and, I would guess, this year) show, I like their pass-and-move style at times.

Bit harsh on Man Utd who are an attacking team by nature. Besides, they have been playing some excellent football ever since they changed to a diamond formation.

I agree with Klaus wholeheartedly.

Its quite amazing that Chelsea can play the way they played this season imo. Never thought they had that in them. AVB tried to force them to play attacking but failed badly.

Personally I think Chelsea's style is very disciplined, reactive and 'by the numbers'. Good from set pieces and transitions and all their inspiration comes from individuals. Look at the games against us and Juventus where they made a number of tactical changes to stop the opposition from playing. Strong, consistent team, but not amazing to watch imo.
