Hmm - I hadn't seen that until today. Makes sense as a concept to me, but I hope there will be more commemorations of infamous moments.

really is odd. definitely think their influence makes a difference. same for all the huge clubs (madrid, barca, milan, bayern). remember henry alluding to it once after a CL loss.

Ferguson clearly felt that given a big effort and a period of sustained pressure, they were almost entitled to score once or twice to get the draw or the win.

In his world, the ref should've held off on the final whistle, or awarded penalties until United had salvaged something.

Like watching mass curve light. You can't see it happening directly, but United's importance as a club distorts football reality.

Can't believe people still think ref is fair in England. Its clear as day to everyone United had huge advantages over the past decade. Think its worth almost half the titles they have won.

I think so too. He was wasted at Barcelona as a bit part player and even he lost the confidence he is now displaying for his new team. The Henry who scored the handball goal against Ireland was a pale shadow of the Henry we all knew.

He got the CL he wanted. That was pretty much it. Did he wish he was back at Arsenal after that? Probably. Did he come home to Arsenal after that? Definitely.

Yeah he'd have rivalled Adams for the title of "Mr Arsenal".
But I suppose you can't blame him for wanting to win the CL, it was never going to happen under Wenger.
