He does seem to have made the Nazi salute rather repeatedly, so I'm guessing he knows a bit about the underlying meaning. Wonder if he's a Golden Dawn boy.

To put it in perspective, Greece's Golden Dawn party attracted between 5 and 10% of the popular vote in last year's parliamentary elections, has a history of explicit self-identification with the Nazi party and has a 20 year association with the use of the Nazi salute.

I'd say it's rather likely, though not a certainty, that this kid is a sympathiser. Whether aligning yourself with a party that attracts 5% of the democratic vote should be cause for sanction is another question.

Well, if you're going to ban any symbols at all, you don't ban them based on their origins but the weight they carry in the here and now, right?

Anyone who makes up bogus apologetics about swastikas being a Sanskrit holy symbol (or what have you) is a collaborator as far as I'm concerned.

By all means support free speech, but not on the basis that swastikas are really pretty innocuous and don't have much to do with Nazism!

70ish years ago the swastika also appeared on the uniforms of the Nazis who rounded up 6m Jews to gas them. Don't think the moral algebra's that hard.
