I'd take Wilshere, Götze and Reus out of that lot, please.

The Germans, obviously.
Don't know if anyone's watching but Rode is bossing it up. Jung is pretty good too.
He's playing pretty high up the pitch. I thought he was a more defensive-sort of midfielder.
He usually is from what I've seen. Think it's mostly because Freiburg are bobbins. They've had around 30% possession so far.
Yeah, they're really poor.
Love their fans though. They've been banging at them drums non-stop. It sounds like battle cries.
German defenders are so soft. I don't know why that is. Maybe it's because of the relatively slow tempo in Bundesliga, but Höwedes is the only one of the lot with an uncompromising style. Just look at how Freiburg and Frankfurt have defended corners and counters in this half. They would get eaten alive in England.
Thats what I've always said about Hummels. Great player, but quite soft. Badstuber is tough though, and so is Subotic.
Subotic was the dortmund defender I would have liked a couple of seasons ago, but we signed Per instead and Vermaelen and Kos went to shit. Think Hummels has improved significantly in that time as well.
And van buyton
Subotic is Serbian, though. But yeah. Remember the first few months after we had signed Per? He seemed shocked over the way opponents put pressure on the centrebacks at all times in Premier League.

Included him cos all his top flight football has been in Germany.
Personally, for Arsenal i would always look in the Premier League first for my centre backs.
I think Höwedes would do great in Premier League though. Wouldn't hesitate to sign him this summer. I can't think of anyone who's good enough on the ball in Premier League and available. Lescott? Possibly, but I don't think he's interested. Wages are probably too high as well. Jagielka? Ticks all the boxes but he's not really better than what we have.
Stefano Celozzi has been very good in this game. Just cleared the ball on the line twice within the span of a minute. He brings a lot of energy in midfield too.
Bored of watching that awful game. Rode looks good though. Very good at receiving the ball in tight spaces
Don't blame you. It's an awful, awful game. Hard to believe that both of these teams are in the top 5 in Bundesliga. Rode has been decent but is playing further up than usually. Celozzi is the only other player of note today. Had the impression that he was more of a fullback but I've seen him start twice in midfield now. Jung started off brightly but has gone to shit. Should have been sent off twice already.
