I've said it before - his talent could make him a once in a generation player. He's that good. His main obstacle to becoming a freak/Ballon D'or contender is likely to be his mentality. He is nowhere near selfish enough at the moment. He's in safe hands as long as Wenger's here. Wenger is frustrating as fuck but he's done it all before - he'll give Wilshere the opportunity to make this his team. It's up to Jack to stop looking up to players like Walcott and Cazorla and start thinking they're his inferiors.

He doesn't need to see them as inferiors, he needs to see them the way Bergkamp saw the players around him and play to make everyone better.

Not sure he's the Bergkamp type. He's more of a Rooney. He's all about the drive and power with close control. Play him in the same position as today (with good defensive support behind him) and he'll start to get the numbers.

Not jumping on the bandwagon but I am starting to love this kid.

Love his aggression, passion to the cause and his pride for the shirt. He has matured so much over the past years, even his interview skills and the way he carries himself has improved dramatically.

Best thing he ever done was get off that twitter bullshit.

But this kid has serious balls, most players that are injured for 18 months are scared to tackle for a long, long time or even some cases never again (see cases of Ramsey, Diaby and Eduardo for first hand Arsenal examples). But this boy is a warrior, love it.

Him and Sagna are only two current players I would take to war with me.

so you don't see a flaw in comparing ramsey, diaby and eduardo to jack other than the length of their recoveries (even though they were shorter than jack's anyway)?

He's brilliant, great attitude, great talent, a real team player plus he wants to lead, wants the responsibility, takes the responsibility.
When we were dozing about in the first half he was the one who introduced that sense of urgency and drive.
Running at players and beating them now as opposed to a few weeks ago not quite having that dimension restored to his game and consequently getting caught possession.

He had a pretty clear view of him the season before. We would've been right up there if he stayed and he knows that. But this way, he is still right up there and he doubles his wages. Without the money he was never staying.

Its always like this Patters. We can make so many examples for so many seasons. If Hleb and Flamini stayed we would have won the next season. If RVP was fit with Ade we would have won. If Jack was fit we would have won. If Cesc didn't leave... If Reyes didn't had mental issues.

Fact is, Wenger screwed us up by constantly allowing our firstteam who aint good enough to compete every season.

I'm feeling a lot better knowing we finally have a world class talent in the team again. Obviously he's got a lot to prove but I'm prepared to bet that he will be one of the best in the world.

Ain't a talent as good as him in Premier League in my opinion. Not even close. But we knew this before the season started. What really surprises me is how quickly he's made it back. I expected him to struggle for four or five months.
