No, he hasn't played a single game at the level he was prior to injury yet. The narrative was written before a ball was even kicked.

There's much more to him than that performance.

No, I said that earlier. A few nice touches is all it takes for the hype machine to take over. He's pure quality and something as effortless as yesterday's performance is hailed as a great one.

Fine by me. Frustrating as fuck when cunts like Scholes and Rooney can get away with murder. Now Wilshere is the one everyone loves and he can pretty much snap anyone right now and get nothing more than a pat on the back.

And Jack is being advised well atm. Praising Chelsea and John fucking Terry for winning the CL. Praising Gerrard the other week. Off twitter, nice clean haircut....he's shamelessly playing the game. Loved by all but the spuds - and they'll give in soon enough.

The best talent weve had at Arsenal since Fabregas. Think Cesc was marginally a better player at the same age though.

There's a distinction to be made. qs talks about Man Utd fans. Man Utd might be the best. But we're talking about Man Utd fans. The kind of people who write this shit are likely 15 year old boys from Singapore or losers in Surrey who have pretended they were personally achieving the accolades of their team to compensate for their failure of a life. You might care what Fergie thinks. You sure as fuck can't care what the fanboys think though.

I just thought it was funny that we used the exact same description. 🙂 The fact that we're so used to a "run of the mill Wilshere performance" is wonderful. Especially since there hasn't beena all that much to be happy about when it comes to Arsenal this season.

Cesc was better at finding that killer pass, and perhaps dictating tempo.

But he never gave us the grit and tenacity, sheer will and Englishness that Wilshere brings to the table.

Kid is undoubtedly special, and will improve in leaps and bounds in coming seasons.

Cesc had all that when he was younger.
Remember Cesc as an 18yr old vs Ballack in 05 and Juve in 06.
Wilshere, however, is faster, has better dribbling and tackling skills and is also much more powerful

If Wilshere adds goals to his game he'll be at Cesc's level, albeit a very different player.

Between the age of 18 to 21 Fabregas was amazing. I haven't seen another central midfielder dominate games week in, week out just by selecting the right pass every.single.time.

Then they discovered he could score goals. Couple that with van Persie's frequent injuries and what we got was a more effective Fabregas but he stopped controlling games regularly.

I don't know about you guys, but i always preferred Cesc (No:4) to Fab (No:10) despite the goals!

I remember Chelsea fans singing 'Five years and you've won fuck all' in 2009/10 when Drogba and his boys destroyed us 3-0 at home. That got under the skin. So did them laughing at Gallas.
