I was referring to this:

The truth of the matter is that we are not that desperate to have him he's nothing more opportunist loan to have a very good midfielder for a year. If we really wanted him we would have insist buy on clause at the end of the season or try to buy him outright.

Lets face it he's nothing more than a stop gap until Jack is healthy and Aaron return from the Olympics in August.

At the end of the day it's just a rumour until it has been confirmed by either party, and even then the finer details are unlikely to be revealed. We don't know whether there will be an option to make the deal permanent or not (the sources Captain referred to seemed to think that this was the issue holding up the deal rather than the salary though), how much he'd make or how he'd feel about leaving Real permanently if he's having a successful season in London.

Oh, that I am just making assumption that if he comes. I totally agree with your statement you made.

Bloke from the telegraph:

Arsenal working on at least two others deals as well as cazorla, including sahin, which could take a while

Yeah, thought that would happen.

We are working on 2 more deals besides this 2? Would honestly amaze me. Mvila and Niang?

Funny how so many people underrates Sahin. He would instantly be our best midfielder till Wilshere comes back.

I thought it was obvious that a club like Arsenal, or any other decent club, doesn't just work on one deal?! There is likely to be an order of preference of course, but it would be stupid to think we would put all our eggs in the one basket.

Not so sure we want to sign both Sahin and Cazorla though.

Cazorla is for the front three, Sahin is for midfield.

I wouldnt be so sure - I think Wenger would use Cazorla in the midfield three

I can't see us bringing in both. Too good to be true, and doesn't fit the way Wengie and Gazza roll.

I have to say, not completely sold on the Sahin loan. He's got a lot of quality, but this isn't Football Manager. A central midfield playmaker that has barely played for 12 months and has never kicked a ball in English football is very likely going to take a while to fully adapt to the club, the country and the style of football. Does he speak English, how well does he know London? Will he live out of a hotel room for 10 months?

And thats why we must have an option to buy.

We'll sell Robin, Arshavin and the other wasters and use Podolski centrally, leaving us with Walcott, Gervinho (in an ANC year) and the Ox as our wide options. With Rosicky and Wilshere injured it leaves space for both.

Oh there is certainly space for both. To actually be well stocked in quality players isn't the Arsenal way though, and hasn't ever been really under Wenger.

If its a permanent deal we are looking at, I'd rather we turn to banega

I think/hope Wenger has realised we need more options. Most of our big problems over the last few years have come from needing to play dodgy squad fillers or lads who aren't ready yet.

Indeed. That said, our squad really seems massive at the mo. we simply have to shift a few

I believe so too.
Of our current midfield options only Song and Arteta are reliable.
Surely even Wenger won't gamble on being faced with a scenario when neither are available and he's left with fitfully fit Diaby and Rosicky, an inconsistent Ramsey, the not quite ready Chamberlain and Coquelin and a big question mark over Jack.

Look at all the shitsters Wenger loaned out last year, they're done and he knows they need replacing. Then add shit like Chamack, Park, etc and its clear we need loads of changes both ways. Its pretty much a rebuild and it seems Wengers not happy to wait for a load of kids to grow up this time.
