If I understand correctly that article says he'd already signed the deal to go to Liverpool and now he's rebelling, his agent is working to persuade Madrid to change their mind and to allow him go to Arsenal.
Again if I understand correctly Mourinho is digging his heels in as he believes Sahin's weaknesses would be better addressed by playing for Liverpool and that playing here would only reinforce them.
If all this is true can't say I would be surprised - suspected for a while that the poison that is Mourinho would not want Sahin joining us.
I was surprised when Ornstein announced that we'd done the deal, thought we'd caught a lucky break for once.
