Yes, and we kept a few cards too.
I think if you look at any individual high-profile exit it's easy enough (and quite possibly correct) to argue against it, but if you take the pattern as a whole it's clear the business we have been doing on those transfers has funded signings and debt retirement.
Should we have held Adebayor, Nasri and Toure to their contracts?
The thing that frustrates immensely is that we've been within touching distance of league titles while we've been doing it but we've screwed ourselves with underinvestment and early sales to keep those trophies out of reach.
