same how? he is less influential now than he was earlier.

probably a combination of fatigue and a team that struggles atm.

One good game, two bad has been his general pattern all season.

Doesn't make enough of gal scoring opportunities, goes missing for long periods of the game, lovely first tough, careful with possession; same all year.

When was the last time he drove the ball forward or got into a good shooting position?

Been meh for some time now.

wasn't cazorla the most creative (most chances created) player at the start of the season?

he looks tired. like many of our players (in particular arteta). think our passing game is even worse now than what it was. so fewer passing options for cazorla.

I think you're right kel. He's definitely dropped a level. Had a zip about him. Guess that's what not being rested does to you

I thought Cazorla was great until the October international break, after then he was targetted and taken out of games (it was obvious that if teams stifled Cazorla they would stifle our creativity) he's struggled to find form and consistency since.

i think there is a slight danger of painting Santi as more than he has been for us.
He had two superlative performances (Reading and, I think Spurs) but for the rest of the season he has wavered between very good and mediocre. He's a top player, but not someone we can rely on to pull us out of the bog.

Doesn't help that the front three are pretty rubbish at finding space. I'd like to see how he'd perform surrounded by better strikers to be able to judge accurately because atm it must be easy for every team to target him.

To be honest he doesn't play any differently. He's very much the sideshow.

gone into his shell since November. Spanish shell shock. He'll come good later in the season, but at the moment he looks like he's in a down spiral of passivity.

anyone else think this is an issue? campbell and toure (if anyone could understand him) were both really shouty. cashley as well. do you hear a lot of shouting/organising during the games? during play stoppages, are they having a word about what's going on?

Even if that is true, we have a decent defensive record (still) and most of Kos's errors don't appear to be to do with communication, but with execution - he could be getting himself into those low percentage situations through a lack of coordination though.

However many mistakes he makes, most of our problems are still up front this season.
