Twitter chatter that Julio Cesar's representatives are talking to both Arsenal and Spurs. Probably BS, but...

I can take Spurs getting Lloris because I've never seen him be as good as his reputation and I think he'll struggle with the English crossing game. But I'll be really annoyed if they sign Cesar.

Seemed a long way off his best the last few times I saw him.

I'm of the same opinion. Inter were bobbins last season though so who knows. It doesn't strike me as a sound strategy to sign a 33-year-old keeper who's on his way down in any case. It worked out with Lehmann but we didn't have a Szczesny in the team back then.

Can't see Cesar taking Spurs wages. He could easily sign for a bigger club.

I dunno, Spurs have locked up Bale and look like they might get Adebayor permanently too - either Ade's taking a paycut, or Spurs' purse-strings are loosening.

Two unlikely events....

Just read on my twitter that France Football today reporting that Wenger wanted to sign him but the board refused to pay the transfer fee. I don't know if this true but surely it can't be the board refusing to cough up though you wouldn't put it past us knowing that we might not potentially make a profit on our transfers

Sounds like bullshit to me.
