BTW, tournament football is no way to judge a player so don't go thinking Podolski isn't that good based off of the Euros.
Look at Arshavin at Euro 2008 and look at him now.
A league season is 38 games whereas the Euros is 6 games max.

Fixed that for you.
Nothing lucky about it at all. Should've been a third goal too if Montolivo hadn't been such a Chamakh. Italy are just plain better in this game, both individually and tactically. Löw has been terribly disappointing though. He had an excellent excuse to start with Klose and Reus after the last game but chickened out. They might get something back in the second half if he makes the substitutions right away.
The only thing Löw needs to do is revert back to what has worked very well for them. Don't know what he was thinking! By playing Kroos he has made sure the best playmaker in the world sees less of the ball, and often too far to the right where he has no help. To rely on Boateng to provide width also means they are not using the width very well.
Nothing lucky tbh. They've just been far more lethal and efficient in the final third.
Reus on, Podolski off.
Podolski off, Reus on.
Reus and Klose on for Podolski and Gomez.
Klose on too for Gomez
IF italy lose this from here I'll be very surprised.
Italians don't give up 2 goals lead
(Unless it's Ac Milan then they're likely to give up three)
Germany rejuvinated. Exquisite stuff.
Germany are doing everything but finishing it.
The next 10 minutes will be crucial.
Germany have never beaten Italy in 7 tournament games.
Super tackle Bonucci.
Southern Europe is dominant.
Germany need a goal soon or this game will fizzle out.
Diamanti on for Cassano.
Italy happy to sit back
Great save Gigi.
Good free kick and good save.
I actually prefer Reus over Podolski...
