Don't think we were cowardly, just lazy. I am terribly usept with Benzema - just kept drifting deep and congesting play further although if we had genuine creativity at CM instead of Malouda/Cabaye then maybe he wouldn't have had to. I blame Blanc for that.
Also Ribery didn't show up, but he's always a 50/50 case.
If Rooney had played you would have opened yourselves more though, so while you would have carried a greater attacking threat so would we. Your lot were very, very defensive in the 2nd half.
Managed to catch the game on TF1 with Wenger commentary. Some tidbits:
- Praised Debuchy and claimed that he's an interesting player. (Thought he was the best and bravest fullback on show)
- Criticized Chamberlain for not providing enough defensive application which I found interesting. Maybe Arsene thinks this of him for Arsenal?
- Made numerous comments on the game along my lines. He sees the game quite clearly, yet tends not to manage it that way for whatever reason.
