Maybe limiting his chances has focused his mind.
He doesn't appear to hesitate at all when he bears down on goal these days.

We should give him a sizeable loyalty bonus along with the 75k instead of 100k.

Would work as he'd get the money he'd want without disrupting the contract negotiations of others

Anybody else wanting the same bonus would be told to stay for a long period such as Theo has.

If it was that simple, we'd have already done it.

I wouldn't mind if we overpaid a little to keep Theo. A comparable replacement would cost a bomb anyway and you know that he'll produce a decent amount of goals and assists if he's played. Plus he's still young, so he's probably going to improve even further.

The Ox has been shifted from left to right and this has disrupted his form.

Shouldn't make a big difference for an attacking player and he's hardly played a long time on the left to call it his natural position.

I think we would have done better right off the mark with him in the team.

It might seem like a small thing but compare that touch with the one Gervinho screwed up against City. It's a top goal. Calm, collected, measured. Basically everything we've been lacking lately when the opportunity to score has come along.

Dont know what to make of this saga, difference in this one is Theo has repeatedly come out and said he wants to stay.. So has the manager, but why has nothing been done? Some kind of assurance that he will play up front? He's going to has to trust Arsene on this as he has stated consistently that he will play theo as a cf.. Still if we haven't signed him by jan we need to get rid a get some else...

Well you should never be beaten at the near post, you can't see it from that gif but just before he shot he did the old glance across the box that was smart, Jaaskelainen would have naturally glanced across too and been momentarily distracted- That was enough.

Theo is a cracking finisher and I never doubt he's gonna score when he goes clean through. If Gervinho has been in that position, dear god. That's the kind of thing worth keeping Theo for as we don't have many players that cool infront of goal.

I don't think it matters much in this case. He could've gone - and hinted that he would - the other way too and left Jaaskelainen on his arse. What stands out for me is the way he takes the goal. He just extends the natural movement.
