i just don't rate theo's awareness or ability to combine. to me, he's easily replaceable and it would make no difference if we don't re-sign him. there are dozens and dozens of equivalent or better players. frankly, i'd say the same of gervinho. he's in a purple patch right now, but he's getting lucky. that goal against olympiakos... i could've written a poem in the time it took for the ball to leave his foot and cross the goal. pathetic goalkeeping.
they're both useful squad players, but nowhere near indispensable. it's players like them we should be selling, and players like van persie we should be keeping.
