It is true though. People have been saying that Walcott is a useful player for several years. I know this because I've seen you having this exact same discussion with them for the last four years or so. Plenty of people to go around who have called him useful without thinking he's world class. You're just ignoring them because it suits you.

'Useful but limited' is what I used to say two years ago. Now I'd probably say 'really fucking useful, bit limited.'

Fact is Theo's detractors can't keep pretending they're waking up from an endless nightmare every time Theo puts in his 'first' good performance.

Maybe i am simple but i do not put too much thought or any emotion into it.
Two, three, four, five years ago, he was sh!t, bar the odd game here and there and i didn't want him in the team.
Even up to the beginning of this season, when he seemed to be holding the club to ransom over the contract, i wouldn't have minded selling him to anyone but manu or the totts.
Now, he is productive, i want him in the first team all the time.
My only gripe is the number of times this season he has gone for goal and missed, when his partner is wide open for a tap in and i also do not like that smiley face head movement dance of his!

When Sagna was playing last year Theo was productive (first half of last season).

Worked it out once that he was producing a goal or assist every other game during that period. That's a good return for a winger, and it helped that a few (Udinese) were big goals.

Think its too simple to look at Theo and say he's not a quality player if he's not producing....much like the inverse doesn't work. He's shown the ability to finish as well as if not better than most strikers (shit I'd say all of ours bar RVP last season).

No doubt he was productive last year but some of us weren't sure it was just a temporary purple patch but now everyone, even Lagos, acknowledges his ability.

I don't really think the 'usefulness' of a player who has around 20+ goals and assists in each of the last three seasons is really a matter of subjective opinion.
