In some threads a new page doesn't load until three or four additional posts are made on the subsequent page.

i.e. the first/second posts on the next page remain hidden until there are a sufficient number of replies on that page.

This happens in the General Football News threadm amongst others, every time.

Anyone else?

I've also noticed some oddities where new posts don't immediately appear which might be related or the same issue, GM. Didn't really pay it any mind though.

That General football thread is getting out of control, we need a new one for the new season.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons why a post that goes up might not appear immediately - most of which would be the result of Pep having done (or purchased) clever architectural stuff behind the scenes like load balancers, database replication (this site probably runs on mysql or postgres), memcached, special cache expiry rules ...

Or it could just be a bug. 😉

Or it could be Pep trying to deliberately mess with our tiny minds!

Come on Tim, no one has a tiny mind here. We're all in the top 10% mate.

I'm seeing this pretty often at the moment. Happening right now on the "laugh at Spurs" thread.

Same for me.

If you click 'new reply', you can see the last post. Not ideal but it works.

Thanks Cap - I never use 'New Reply' so that had never occurred to me, actually a useful workaround.

I suggest we open a new thread when this starts happening. Bit annoying when browsing on the mobile phone.

I'm not ignoring you guys; I've seen this thread, I just don't care.

In all seriousness I haven't noticed the issue myself but I've been meaning to upgrade the forum; it's just that upgrading tends to break more things than it fixes.

Made me chuckle.
