IF we clinch third, I will be a full on Chelsea fan for the Champions League final. I want Spurs to crash and burn badly, and not getting in the Champions League will go a long way to making that happen.

So relieved after yesterday. It was a sickening feeling to know it was out of our hands.

Ricky: Amen. Not getting Champions League football next season will set them back several years. They have amassed a wage bill similar to a CL club under Harry but without the tournament they won't be able to support it. They are planning a new stadium too and those plans will take a dent. This is a real make or break season for them.

This team showed yesterday it can score.
The rest of this week should be spent on defensive drills Vermaelen, stay home. Coquelin, learn right back. Full-backs, only push up one side at a time. Song, alternate with Ramsey to get forward because you're the only creative spark in midfield. Gervinho, keep running at defenders and try to retain possession to keep the opponents under pressure.

Spurs are at home, though. It'd be a shame if our players went to this game with the same mentality as some of you have.

if we can't win a must-win game against west brom, then i have no idea how we're supposed to win a trophy of any sort, which presumably would entail beating the likes of bayern, madrid, man city, etc. it's games like this where we find out who the winners are in our squad.

personally the last couple weeks have reinforced a lot of my feelings about certain players in the squad.

Szczesny would be first on the list if it weren't for that howler specialist named Fabianski.

Fulham and Everton might be tough opposition for those 2 chasing us, but I'm not expecting much help. It's down to us. Like everyone says we're incredibly jammy to even be in this position given our form so there's plenty to work on come next Sunday.
West Brom will wait for us in their half and look to score on the counter all the while pressing the shit out of our inept mids. It's the same thing every damn week. When will we learn to deal with it?

The worst thing we can do is give them confidence we have to press like maniacs when they get the ball and not give them any chance of getting a run or a pass. The team better be professional about this or they shouldnt bother picking up their wages.

Our form since Arteta's injury has taken a nose dive. Dont see why we cant start with a midfield of Benny, Song and Rosicky with Ox and Gervinho on the wings. Best to go for it from the start, its not as if we're resting anyone for anything more!

Holy fuck. Almost didn't bother switching on the computer to check the results as I couldn't face reading the confirmation we were now 5th. Cannot believe I've woken up to find we're still 3rd! How many chances does this team need to be given?

I don't want Chelsea to become the first London club to win the CL. Not like Spurs will do anything significant next season. Personally i would relish a North London derby in the CL.

Just don't tell them it's a cup final. Tell them it's a regular league game and we're out of the title race. That should focus them.
