Ah, I just read it. Yeah, fair enough. It begs the question why the FA were so desperate to appoint someone before the Euros though. With that squad England are only going to play one way. Pearce could have picked the team and the tactic in his sleep. I think it will be difficult for Hodgson to catch a break from pundits and public opinion if the tournament is a failure.

I think Hodgson might be alright with the press and media. From what I've heard most people are just expecting them to get out of their group which seems a fair target to me.

There has to be something we don´t know about when it comes to Richards and the national team. On merit I find it quite hard to understand why he isn´t in the squad.

Richards could stop training for half a season and STILL be a better RB than Glen Johnson.
