What little I've seen of him looks good but my concern is how unproven he is (and that he's not good enough to replace a departing VP).

If he is bought to replace RVP then I agree he might not be a good enough signing, but as a squaddie to add options this is a brilliant signing. He has the best aerial dual success rate in the whole of europe mind you. Incredible leap this guy.

Heh - according to Matt Spiro, Montpellier chairman has said there hasn't even been a bid for Giroud.

What gives you the idea we have signed M'Vila? Ornstein just tweeted he spoke to the M'Vila camp and they said there has been no talks between any premier league clubs

Guess Wenger and co have had words with Montpellier for yabbering too freely about the Giroud deal to anyone who would listen.
The silence now convinces me this will be announced post Euro.

Mvila is not a priority for me. Happy if we sign him, can't be arsed if we don't.

We really need a playmaker though.

I don't want to sign M'Vila, for a few reasons but partly because there'll be a lot of red-faced people out there.

Anyone, pretty much anyone with any real access seems to suggest nobody knows anything about it. David Ornstein, Philipe Auclair, and whoever it was who interviewed Arsene the other day - every time anyone's been asked, an offer has been denied.

Could all be the veil of secrecy, but I see more reasons to think it's not happening than reasons it is.

Who is this Giroud guy? Never heard of him until wevce recently been linked with him.

Sounds like the French Marcus Stewart/Kevin Phillips to me ie one season wonder.

But have to view him playing before giving full opinion.
