here is what i am trying to understand from Samsung's side
are these little watches used as a tool to lock people into to the Samsung phone? the idea is basically i am able to collect all my jogging data through my watch/wrist-band and it only works with a Samsung phone for analysis and aggregation. hence, i don't want to ever lose my Samsung phone. even then, what percentage of Galaxy users want one and are at risk of switching over to iOs/Windows, etc?
so overall uptake will be small relative to the Galaxy. so how can we get more money out of the watch users? will Samsung sell them expensive health apps? can't see that. so this is just a hardware play for a small market.
i can see why this would be important to a small company like a Fitbit or the makers of Pebble, but i can't understand why it would be critical to Samsung. this will be an extremely marginal part of the Galaxy business. lots of wasted mindspace on the part of the company
