SimplyThePest to be fair, one thing I've noticed since the end of last season is our CBs have occasionally made runs into the final third. Not a regular fixture but remember there a passage of play against Chelsea where big Gabby tried to play the ball across the penalty area (and then Saliba the same at the end of the match).
In all seriousness, some of the football we played the year after in 07/08 was some of the best I've seen. We made some very good sides look like absolute mugs at times.

Watching that video, the big disappointment is Vieira not panning out. He should've been the Bernardo Silva type to Odegaard's De Bruyne, giving us more skill and continuity. Hopefully, we can replace him or Nwaneri will evolve into that player.

Sicario2 this has to be a wind up… the Hleb-Fabregas-Flamini-Rosicky midfield that did manage to get out on the pitch a number of times that season was very, very good.
Cesc ran rings around far better players than Xhaka.
Almost as funny is expecting Jesus to actually put himself in a position to have a sight at goal, let alone making a mockery out of anyone in front of goal.
