As in walking distance. I borrowed his season pass the few times he couldn't attend matches and I was in London, those were the days

It was a long time ago, honestly don't remember but although it wasn't far, dont think it was walking distance thougb. But agreed, he was our very own, reasonably priced at face value ticket tout. Good guy.
Edut: Was just checking and can't see any DMs sent or received before 2014. Qwiss, Pepe, did something happen around that time? A migration or something because I know I had DMs before that date lol.
Asa's still fairly active on Twitter.

That's kinda how I remember it too, prepared to be wrong though. Fucker went on and on about how liberating and wonderful Brexit was gonna be and then disappeared Down Under before the traumas began. 😆
Speaking of reminiscence - spookily - OTD in 2010, Arsenal beat Burnley 3-1 - which was a rather momentous day in OMITT history as it was the day we met up together, got really drunk, Kamikaze fell asleep standing up and Asa started a fight with a cardboard cut out.
James sends his love.
What a night. Still can't forget how delighted I was that day.
Fk the ref in the QF.
Look at that team. Gallas Senderos, Almunia, Eboue, Diaby, Clichy, Hleb, Flamini…
Our only quality player was Cesc. And that was enough.
Adebayor & Sagna also, I guess.
Was watching that through ball over the top thinking "fucking hell, who the fuck is that mini Usain Bolt runnibg after the ball" before realising it was Theo. His little legs were moving 5 steps for ever step Kaladze took.
Ignoring that Babel dive, this is still one of the worst decision I have seen for quite a long time.
to me, this guy is the biggest "what could have been" of the last 20 years for arsenal. he took a few matches to get his feet under him, but he was getting into a real flow. his movement was incredible. his technique and touch was fantastic. he could have done so many things for us if not for that horrific injury. makes me sad.
That goal against Burnley was completely out of this world.
Martinelli should watch Eduardo comps, he's got all that in his locker and is probably the most similar modern version of that kind of player ... quick feet, fearless and a technically brilliant finisher.
Eduardo's move to Shaktar was probably the first time I ever noticed hearing of Donetsk, gonna hear a lot more about it now.
Speaking of first time hearing of clubs/cities, remember those days where is seemed like we'd play Panathinaikos every year back in the late 90s early 2000s?
Yeah and they fucking beat us half the time ... it felt like travelling away in Europe was a real uphill climb in those years. Drama added by Dennis's fear of flying.
Good to remember that period of learning because if things go to plan, we'll be learning how to play Besiktas and Dinamo Zagreb again next season.

So true. It was so weird how we were so terrible away generally. Our home form generally was insane but away we could lose to anyone and everyone. Gave us some good and bad memories.
I still have nightmares about Carew pt1 and pt2.
We were genuinely flakey in Europe in the 90s and early 20s, contrary to our actual ability. I think we only got continental in the invincible season onwards, although it was shortlived once the giants pulled away in the 21st century.

They weren't that unknown, won the UEFA Cup a year or two before they signed him
Yeah was wondering if he got confused with Dinamo Zagreb?
Shaktar were already serial winners of the Ukraine league, had famous players like Srna, Willian, Jadson (who we were very close to signing), Fernandinho etc those days. They also played against us in the UCL in 2001 in the group stage and qualified for UCL almost every year since then.
"Serial winners of the Ukraine league"
Look fellas, I think we all know I have never loved and will never love football as much as anyone who tracks a lot of foreign leagues. I barely even know what's going on in the Bundesliga most seasons.
I probably heard the words "Shaktar Donetsk" for years without realising which bit of it was the name of a city 😆

Spoiler for every Bundesliga for prob the next ten years: Bayern will win it.
It’s good to see that a ‘small’ team will win the German FA Cup this year as all the big boys are out. Hopefully Hamburg can do the business, last won a trophy when Ricky was born - 1985.
