A nice video of Eduardo's best goals from Arsenal media last week. I believe he made his debut after the leg fracture on February 16th.

Some of the goals from that video remind me of just how much impetus he gave us in the winter of 07/08, along with Bendtner and Rosicky while we had a few strikers out injured. Felt like opponents were actually starting to fear defending against him right before the injury.

I loved Eduardo. He was ice cold in front of goal. Never panicked. Up there with the likes of Wright for best finisher we've ever had at the club. Shame injuries ruined him.

One of the most underrated players from the Wenger era in my opinion. His career with us was just about to take off when he got butchered.

Yeah, his injury still saddens me whenever I think about it. They didn't even include his most ridiculous goal for us:

It's not on this channel, but I remember one commentator said "How dare you be that good?" when he saw how he hit the ball.

Eduardo really struggled in the league but absolutely bossed the cups.

He was starting to grow into Premier League when the injury happened though. The goals against Everton were so awesome. Vintage Bergkamp stuff. After the leg break he was never right again.

Out of all the players that never succeeded at Arsenal he's the one that hurts me the most. We should have gotten nearly a decade of football out of him. He was easily better than guys like Berbatov who had big careers in England during that time. We would have won the league in -08 with a fit Eduardo, and who knows what would have happened then.

We should have won the league anyway.

I loved him as a player and he seemed like he was probably a decent person too. Probably about the least deserving player to get that horrible injury. He had a few great appearences at 10 after the injury when he was less mobile that really showcased his footballing brain.

He seemed like a very likable bloke for sure, and with above average intelligence, not just for a football player. I remember reading about how he had to sleep at the training facility for a while after Dinamo Zagreb brought him over as a kid. He learned Croatian more or less on his own by reading since they didn't have any setup at the time to take care of his integration. It's the sort of environment that crushes 90 percent of young poor teenagers who know nothing but football, but he found a way to rise above it.

Hopefully he gets a role at the club in future. He's intelligent, hard working and has a footballing brain and been through a lot. I remember the quote Wenger used. 'Hes the mental strength of a mountain.'

Still one of my favorite showings ever. Not just the quality of the performance, including what he does to Carragher and company on the hat-trick goal, but also the significance given what had occurred in the preceding week and what winning meant for the rest of the season. Will never forget this performance. Legend!

It was his second goal that he embarrassed their whole defence but yeah I agree. After the Chelsea and United losses in the CL/FA Cup we needed to make sure we didn't throw everything away. To come away with that win under such circumstance which eventually lead to going unbeaten makes it all that more important. Not a big game player my arse.
