Of course he declined in 07/08 everyone declines but even then he shouldn't have been replaced with Almunia, but we're talking about 04/5!

Picking out a "weakest" in the Invincibles is quibbling at best. The reason that they were undefeated is BECAUSE they weren't weak and its also why no team has done it since (and for 100+ years before it). Everyone did what they needed to do.

84% seemed to be convinced he was arsenal material,the poll there, within a year and that's following up seaman. No mean feat.

Quince,Didn't he also force his way ahead of kahn into the German national team,on merit? Don't think losing a place to almunia means anything, it was clearly an anomaly in the footballing universe that almunia played that long for a professional club. That's on Wenger.

Almunia was pretty good for a bit there. That's how it happened.

Lehmann wasn't a "dickhead" in footballing terms, despite clearly being an eccentric personality. His aggression and obsessive training were vital qualities for us. Without a keeper that neurotic about not conceding and not losing, I doubt the unbeaten season would have happened.
