In Milan we lost the tie, our pride, and our belief.
Today we won back our pride and belief.
There was not enough time spent in the "new reality" for me to really be shattered now - just good to know we did enough to make the impossible within our reach.
To think that we did that when we couldn't even field a 3 men midfield (doesn't matter if "that actually worked in our favor"), with no one on the bench (that's just it: we had no one. If anyone thinks this is exaggerated, try checking when Chmakh or park played for us) should do even more to boost our belief.
But we need to not be in that situation again. Some people obviously need not be here, under any circumstances.
I think the Rosicky mystery is a bit more clear now (I'm sure we'll be discussing it later, so for now I'll settle for: 1. it was no fluke 2. it's not enough to be a starter every game, but in this level he's not just good to have - he's valuable. 3. the roots of the renaissance are (theory, sure) confidence, aware decision to play a more risky game - a la Shava, if you will (encouraged by wenger, I'm almost sure).
This is a game we'll be talking about for years. It will not be a bitter memory for me at all, and right now, though obviously disappointed, I'm not at all shattered - in fact I love my team much more, and I'm both confident and grateful.
Ox is simply unbelievable. Really. He's put an already insane level of appreciation I had to him even higher. I want so much to see him and Jack play with Robin. That with our 2 CBs and basket case GK will be truly awesome (even if we still have current level in all the rest).
