Sounds like we're waiting on shifting players on before completing our remaining incoming deals.
Clearly the biggest game piece is RvP. Assuming at this stage that the only thing the club is contemplating is whether to offer one big contract in an attempt to keep him here. Seems to me that despite the press releases 1) we're not going to make him sit out the last year of his deal, and 2) we will still be able to sell for a reasonable price.
Think we have to get this over and done with, especially if this is stalling our other deals. It's the club's turn to make their move. RvP has made his statement which is an attempt to get the club to get their arses into gear (possibly even to get them to offer him the big new contract) so hopefully we're preparing ourselves to wrap this up one way or another.
Als for the others: Vela, for one should be off. Got to hope we can sort out Arshavin, Squillaci, Bendtner, and Chamakh asap. Will be infuriating if we can't tie up our other deals just because we're unable to off these duffers.
